Yarny giveaways and sales

If you like to enter giveaways for yarn and other goodies, or know when there are some good sales going on, check out a partial listing below. I rarely win contests, but hope springs eternal! I’m sure there are more out there, but here are two I found while snooping around the Internet.

Expression Fiber Arts is having a November 2014 Yarn Giveaway, ending November 30. The package includes some of their beautiful silk, lotion bars, handmade soaps, bamboo knitting needles, a free pattern, and more goodies.

Knitters Brewing Company gives away a free skein of yarn on the first business day of each month.

I also searched for some yarn sales at various online shops. As you know, the sales out there are endless. However, these are two that interested me. Both are clearance sales, so the sooner the better — and be sure you have more than enough for your project. We’ve all been there: ran out of yarn near the end of a project, only to find that the yarn has been discontinued and it’s time to get REALLY creative.

KnitPicks has some beautiful Diadem Fingering Yarn colors on clearance. The yarn is 50 percent Baby Alpaca and 50 percent Mulberry Yarn, and is on sale for 20 percent off. There are also some crochet books on sale, mixed in with some knitting books.

Are you interested in creating something light and airy but still soft and a little fuzzy? WEBS has Cascade Yarns Kid Seta Noir on clearance. This is a blend of mohair, silk, nylon polyster, with a touch of metallic thread and is available in 22 gorgeous colors.
